Nu Skin Korea celebrated the opening of the 10th Nu Skin Hope Library in March with a grand opening celebration.
More than 150 people attended the ‘Songhak Ggumkium’ grand opening including Nu Skin employees, distributors, students and local civic leaders. Luke Yoo, president of Nu Skin North Asia and Korea, congratulated the generous Force for Good supporters for their ongoing contributions that helped the new school as well as the previous nine Nu Hope libraries in Korea.
This 10th library houses more than 4,000 books and is equipped with colorful child-safe furniture and state of the art facilities including a 3D projector, roll screen and three iMAC computers to enhance the learning experience. Approximately 80 percent of the funds for this project came from Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation contributions, with the school paying the balance. This library will not only be used as a student study room, but also a local community center.
Nu Skin Hope Library Project
The Nu Hope libraries are built in rural elementary schools. Through local Force for Good funds two libraries have been built each year since 2008. In 2008 Nu Skin Hope Library program was recognized as Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program in Asia by International Business Awards (Stevie Awards).
