Since its launch in 2002, Nourish the Children has provided more than 175,000,000 meals to malnourished children around the world. By the end of this year, our goal is to exceed 200 million meals. I’ve been impressed to watch our distributor force embrace this goal. For example, in January alone, they collectively donated 3,191,460 meals — a great start to reach this milestone.
We’ve also seen an incredible response to the recent disaster in Haiti. Following the devastating earthquake, the Nu Skin family has demonstrated its force for good culture with an outpouring of support for those affected by the tragedy. To date, the company and its distributors have donated more than $1 million in cash and product to the Haiti relief efforts. In addition to dedicated donations from the Americas and Europe region, Nu Skin’s Greater China region, an area that has also suffered from the devastation of an earthquake, earmarked all of its January VitaMeal purchases, along with an additional corporate donation of product, to the relief efforts.
Because of the generous donations of our distributor family we have provided more than 1.5 million meals for Haiti. We will continue to send monthly shipments of VitaMeal to this earthquake-ravaged country on an ongoing basis. VitaMeal was in Haiti before the terrible earthquake and we’ll make sure VitaMeal is there throughout the country’s recovery efforts.
We hope you can continue to support Nourish the Children and our 200 million meals goal. If you are not one already, I challenge you to become a Nourish the Children Ambassador today by clicking here.
Nourish the Children is an initiative of Nu Skin and is registered in some states as a commercial co-venture. This program leverages the strength and staying power of a for-profit corporation in cooperation with non-profit charity to nourish tens of thousands of malnourished children every month. The price charged by Nu Skin for VitaMeal includes the costs of manufacturing, general overhead, distribution, sales and commissions to Nu Skin distributors as well as a reasonable profit margin.
